Academics

A rich, well-rounded education built on the Uganda National Curriculum and rooted in Christian values.

Excellence Rooted in Christ

At Elyon Kindergarten and Primary School we are passionate about giving children a rich, well-rounded education — one that prepares them not just for good exam results, but for life itself. We follow the Uganda National Curriculum carefully, while gently weaving Christian values and biblical principles into every lesson and every day.

Our simple hope is to help each child grow into a bright, God-fearing young person who loves to learn, thinks clearly, acts with kindness and responsibility, and gives their best as an act of worship.

Nursery & Pre-Primary

Baby, Middle, Top Class

These first years matter so much. We create a happy, safe and exciting place where little ones naturally fall in love with learning.

Strong foundations are built in eight focus areas:

Area we focus on What we help children develop
Early literacy & pre-reading Letters, sounds, stories, rhymes and first words.
Basic numeracy Counting, shapes, patterns and simple number ideas.
Language Speaking and listening in English and local languages.
Motor skills Cutting, drawing, running, jumping and balance.
Social & emotional growth Sharing, caring, managing feelings, building confidence.
Creative play Art, music, movement and pretending.
Christian foundation Bible stories, short prayers, songs of praise, kindness & honesty.
Everyday skills Washing hands, dressing themselves, saying please & thank you.

Everything is done through play, songs, stories, crafts and plenty of outdoor time — every child feels noticed, loved, and ready to step into Primary One with confidence.

Track Record

Year after year, our children excel

Our pupils consistently perform well in the Primary Leaving Examinations — high numbers of Division 1 and Division 2 passes, strong aggregate scores, and many going on to excellent secondary schools. We thank God for these results: His faithfulness, the children's hard work, our teachers' dedication, and the support of wonderful parents.

Beyond Books

Growing the whole child

School is more than textbooks. We give equal care to five areas that shape who a child becomes.

Area of growth How we help children grow
Character Integrity, responsibility, respect, and kindness — practised every day.
Spiritual life Daily prayers, Bible stories, chapel time and quiet devotions.
Physical health P.E., sports, play, and lifelong healthy habits.
Creativity Music, dance, drama, art, and hands-on making.
Leadership & confidence Clubs, public speaking, and small responsibilities that grow into big ones.

Strong in school. Even stronger in character.
